Ding turns 10 in the UAE as London comes calling
The third quarter provided Ding with plenty to celebrate as we marked 10 years of doing business in the Middle East and also announced the opening of our new London office.
Ding first opened its doors in Dubai in October 2009. For the past ten years the company has provided UAE ex-pat workers with a virtual digital highway connecting them with their loved ones back home. In Oman, Qatar, Saudi and the UAE, Ding has facilitated close to 150 million transactions to 137 countries, for the region’s international workers – 40 million of which were for international workers in the UAE.
“Ding was originally conceptualised in Dubai and since our entry into the Middle Eastern market ten years ago we have grown to partner with the top companies in the region,” said Mark Roden, Founder and Chief Executive of Ding.
As experts in the prepaid market we strive to stay on top of market trends and provide our customers in the UAE and around the world with the services they need and count on and we’re looking forward to continuing to do that.”
We took the opportunity to mark the momentous anniversary by thanking our partners. The highlights of which you can see here.

The move is the latest step in the next phase of growth for Ding, as the company expands to meet the growing demand for its service around the world. The London office will include employees covering marketing, technology and business development – and will be supported by all other functions from the other eight global locations.
Commenting on the expansion, Rupert Shaw, Ding’s Chief Commercial Officer said:
“Our business has moved into the next phase of growth as demand for our product skyrockets and in order to better serve our customers and partners we are opening this new office in London.”
He added:
“Over the last 10 plus years we have learned to do what we do very well, now we are about expanding that to new regions and we are making a big growth push – a presence in London gives us access to a new talent pool and allows us to be closer to our UK partners – it’s a very exciting time for Ding.”
Exciting times with further expansion earmarked for 2020 and beyond.
