LuLu Money and Ding partner to offer international mobile top-up to Hong Kong diaspora

Ding, the largest international mobile top-up platform, announced today that it is partnering with LuLu Money, part of the LuLu Financial Group – one of the leading global financial services company, to offer international top-up transfer to foreign workers living in the Asia Pacific region.

International mobile top-up is the most efficient micro-value transfer option available to foreign workers looking to support family and friends back home. The new partnerships will connect LuLu Money’s Hong Kong customers through their retail network, with Ding’s global network of 500+ mobile operators, across 140+ countries to facilitate international airtime transfer.

The service will provide customers with a simple, safe and secure way to send mobile top-up to their loved ones back home in the Philippines, India, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Nepal and other South East Asian countries. All credited in real-time, directly to the recipient’s mobile, and in local currency.

Commenting on the new partnership, Muhannad Hassan, General Manager of Ding in Asia and the Middle East said: “This new partnership further strengthens Ding’s business in Asia and expands the services which are available to the foreign worker population who are supporting family back home with remittances and the transfer of micro-value such as mobile top-up.”

Furthermore: “Our technology will enable LuLu Money to help their customers to seamlessly send top-up – safely and securely.”

This new partnership will enable a wide range of expats living in Hong Kong to send the gift of international airtime to family and friends. In the Philippines for example, some 96% of mobiles phones are of the prepaid variety, with half out of credit at any one time, so there is a significant need to keep these phones topped-up with airtime and data.
