The world’s largest mobile recharge network, Ding, brings Latin American superstars to Calle Ocho Festival in Miami

Dublin, Ireland – 13th March 2017 – Ding, the world’s largest mobile top-up provider, brought some of Latin America’s most influential musicians to the 40th annual Calle Ocho Festival in Miami Florida yesterday.

The Calle Ocho Festival takes place every March in Miami, Florida and celebrates Latin American culture with a street party style event. Yesterday an estimated 1,000,000 people gathered across 20 blocks in the Miami to mark the 40th anniversary of the festival.

Ding’s custom built stage featured exclusive performances from musicians including; Dayran y El Happy, Albita, Osmani Garcia and Chacal. Fans had the opportunity to win backstage passes to meet their heroes at Calle Ocho through competitions on Ding’s social media pages in the lead up to the event.

Ding’s service enables hundreds of thousands of members of the Latin American diaspora community to send mobile recharge to their friends and family back home on a daily basis. Ding remains the global leader in international top-up, and this is set to continue in 2017, with projected growth of 30-40% in online sales to the Latin American regions.
