Ding appoints PwC’s Paul Duffy as Head of Finance as growth accelerates

Leading international mobile top-up platform Ding, has appointed Mr. Paul Duffy as Head of Finance as the company continues to see huge demand for its product around the world.

Duffy, who will be based in Dublin, joins Ding from PwC where he spent more than a decade in a variety of roles including five years as part of the Assurance team in Dublin, before moving to Boston where he was part of the deals team, specialising in M&A. He brings with him significant accounting and finance experience and will help to manage Ding’s finance function at a time when the company is experiencing double-digit growth.

The finance function has a truly international remit – working across multiple time zones, in over 100 currencies, across a myriad of complex regulatory environments. Duffy will be responsible for ensuring the financial operations continue to be robust and can scale with Ding’s current growth ambitions.

Commenting on the new appointment, Jonathan Rockett, Chief Financial Officer at Ding said: “Finance is a core function for Ding and talented people are at the centre of our business and a key driver of our success. We are in a growth phase as we develop and build out our business and Paul will be a great asset to us both within the finance team but also helping to guide operational and strategic initiatives in the years to come.”

He added: “He brings a wealth of experience both local and international, which complements our existing team very well and will help us move to the next phase as we scale up our business.”

Paul is an alumnus of UCD where he completed his Bachelors of Commerce, and also a Masters of Accounting.
