Ding helps Médecins Sans Frontiéres to make a difference
8th April, 2019 – Ding is delighted to announce that this quarter our chosen charity partner for our Access for Good programme, is Médecins Sans Frontiéres (MSF). A fantastic charity operating all over the world – which we are honoured to be able to work with.
MSF represents everything which Ding is endeavouring to do with the Access for Good programme and that is to accelerate access to life changing services for people in need around the world – in this case access to life changing medical assistance in times of crisis.
MSF are first responders in every sense right now, MSF has emergency response teams on the ground in Malawi, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe helping people to deal with the aftermath of Cyclone Idai, which has displaced hundreds of thousands of people since it hit in March. In fact, over 1.8bn people are in urgent need of help across these countries. MSF teams in all the affected countries are providing medical and non-medical assistance to people who have had their lives, and livelihoods destroyed.
We believe small change, can have a big effect in fact, for as little as €2,500 MSF can immunise 7,130 children against measles during a deadly outbreak; for €5,000 they can purchase three Pediatric surgery sets containing instruments designed to be used in children’s surgery; for €7,500 they can purchase a Nutrition outpatient kit with supplies to treat 500 severely malnourished children for three months; €10K can help MSF build shelters for 500 families; €15k can help MSF feed 1,000 starving children for 3 months.
