Fexserv and Ding launch international mobile top-up for Malta
30th May, 2019 – Ding, the leader in international mobile top-up, continues to expand by launching its service to foreign workers in Malta, in partnership with Fexserv Financial Services. This means the Maltese diaspora, who are financially supporting family back home, can now avail of airtime transfer, which is the most efficient micro-value transfer option in the market and a complimentary add-on to money remittances.
Fexserv has eight branches across Malta and Gozo, and now its customers can benefit from Ding’s extensive network of 500+ operators, across 140+ countries around the world.
The new service will provide foreign workers living in Malta, with a simple, safe and secure way to support loved ones back home in countries including: Ghana, Mali, Senegal, Guinea, Nigeria, Italy, the Philippines, Afghanistan, Romania, Pakistan, and Turkey. The airtime is credited in real-time, directly to the recipient’s mobile, and in local currency.
Commenting on the new partnership, Declan Burke, head of business development for Europe & Africa at Ding said: “This new partnership puts more control in the hands of the diaspora in Malta to support their families back home, using the latest technology to help our users stay connected to their families.”
He added: “Our technology will enable Fexserv to help their customers to seamlessly send top-up – safely and securely to loved ones. When you consider that more than 85% of phones in their home countries are of the prepaid variety and out of credit for a significant amount of time – this is a valuable gift.”
This new partnership is the latest in a string of new deals for Ding, as the company expands its business across the world helping migrant workers to support their families in innovative ways.
Joe Attard, general manager at Fexserv said: “This is a new product offering for us in Malta, and we are looking forward to providing our customers with this new way to transfer value to loved ones. Supporting their families and staying in touch is important for our users and we are happy to be part of the journey to help them achieve that.”
